August already and what a busy July we have had here at MAN Commercial! With government restrictions easing further in July, this meant we could begin going back out to sites and bringing senior management back to Head Office- following social distancing rules and government guidelines, of course!
This has allowed us to begin working through essential site audits, complete risk assessments and assignment instructions for new sites and conduct mobilisation meetings. We began July with our quarterly management meeting which has been postponed since February! This gave us the opportunity to discuss our current business plan and new mobilisations and site acquisitions throughout the UK. Although the management team have caught up regularly on the phone and via Zoom, the meeting was a much-needed catch up and gave a nice sense of workplace normality in this challenging time.
On the 15th of July we were even able to celebrate our Accounts Assistant Amy’s 21st birthday with a socially distanced BBQ, which also served as a good bye and good luck for HR Assistant Emily as she began her maternity leave.
With our spirits up and pushing forward to the next chapter, July was a good opportunity to Head Office a refresh with outside paintwork and a few general improvements – we have been at Highlands Court now for 11 years!
We shared last month that we had rolled out our first ever Employee Engagement Survey to the whole company, and by July the results were in and we presented these to management and shared them with all staff. The results and feedback received are extremely positive in many areas; we are particularly proud of the fact that over 80% of respondents enjoy their job, feel part of the team and agree that MAN Commercial provide excellent security, with 95% ensuring they deliver the highest possible standards while at work.
July also brought us many more outstanding achievements by our fantastic Officers, see our Employee of the Month page for the full details. One of the Awards went to our Team at EUK5, a team of 33 who have received numerous excellent reports from our client Amazon. With such a large team we wanted to celebrate with something special, so each Officer was given a branded MAN Commercial cupcake as a thank you!
We have three new contracts beginning in August, so mobilisation is well underway. An exciting requirement of one of these is an electric vehicle, a first for our fleet. We have also continued to provide our services at Covid Testing Stations this month, along with starting new distribution centre work, residential security and providing high-profile escorts.
