In January 2022, we launched the MAN Commercial Protection Training Academy.

After wanting to expand our offering in this area for a while, and following the changes in requirements for SIA renewals in 2021, 2022 felt like the right time to turn our vision into reality! By having our own in-house Academy, we are able to assist our Officers through their SIA licence renewal process, which for Door Supervision and Security Guarding now includes an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, ACT Counter Terrorism modules, and DS or SG Top-Up training.

The mandatory SIA Top-Up courses have been introduced by the SIA as an extra measure to make sure current Door Supervisor and Security Guarding licence holders have the same skills and knowledge as new entrants achieving the updated qualifications. DS Top-Up Training includes refreshed physical intervention training.

Heading up the MAN Commercial Academy is our HABC-accredited Company Trainer, Dene Hale, who brings with him a wealth of experience in a wide range of training, development and skills for success.

We are delighted to be delivering a first-class training experience for our Officers, who are also benefitting from an easy and informative booking process, guided by our Training Academy Admin team.

It is crucial that all our officers have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities when representing MAN Commercial on a client’s site, so by offering training and upskilling we are adding value to our client’s contracts at the same time as developing our team members.
