Control Room Operative

MAN Commercial Protection are a family run business currently in our 28th year of trading. With our Head Office based in Solihull, West Midlands. We employ and distribute Security Officers throughout the whole of the United Kingdom, whilst specialising in security guarding, door supervision, CCTV and keyholding services.

The Operations room at our head office in Solihull is the heart of our business. Due to expansion, we are hiring a new control room operator to help with the company’s growth, whilst providing excellent quality and customer service.

The ideal candidate will be an individual who is willing to take leadership within the control room through dynamic decision making, proactive ownership of tasks and responsibility of all the challenges they may face.

The role available is a full-time position, working a shift pattern of 13-hour shifts (06:30-19:30) on a 4-on 4-off rotation. This position holds a pay rate of £10.50 P/H.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Problem solving by liaising with contract managers regarding workplace issues, activity reports, complaints and queries.

· Handling a high volume of both inbound and outbound calls from all levels of staff throughout the organisation.

· Responsible for providing exceptional customer service via both the telephone and email.

· Approaching all members of staff in an approachable and friendly manner.

· Take ownership on all calls by being proactive in regards to staff queries, along with escalation and follow ups.

· Proactively keep up to date on new procedures, systems and information regarding the standard operation protocols of the company.

· Maintaining and sustaining an updated knowledge of all aspects of the company.

Qualifications and Experience:

· A keen eye of detail.

· Extensive knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Outlook.

· Full fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.

· Experience of working on the telephones.

· Full flexibility is required.

· Experience of working with Timegate is preferred however not essential.

· SIA – Door Supervisor licence is essential.

· SIA – CCTV Licence is beneficial however not essential.


· Standard pension scheme.

· Fixed working hours with overtime available (06:30-19:30 4 days on – 4 days off).

· 20 days holiday pro rata.
